The soul is our essence.

It is what truly defines us. It is what has always been and what will always remain.

Our soul cannot err; it is not selfish. It naturally vibrates at a higher frequency – the frequency of love.

Our soul comes from God and, after our passing, will return to God: to our shared true home.

When we come into this world as pure beings, soon our ego and our forgetfulness of our true existence come into play. We become part of this world. If we grow up among people who themselves vibrate at a low frequency and act solely out of ego, we lose touch with our true purpose in life, with our authentic selves.

What many forget: when we die, the ego dies with us. What remains is our soul.

It can move into the light and begin its journey back to God. As we bury our ego, our worries, and our fears, only that remains which truly defined us as human beings.

But if we have lived our lives in greed, envy, hatred, or anger – these do not follow the soul, for they belong to the ego, not the essence of our being. This should lead us to ask ourselves: What was the value of our life, if it was lived so far from our soul, the part of us that only ever wanted to give and receive love?

If we can forgive ourselves for our mistakes – and if they are indeed forgivable – our soul will reunite with God and exist freely, in peace and love.

Some of us, however, have much to make amends for and may choose to remain close to those still living, to guide and support them, much like a guardian angel.

Others may be unable to forgive themselves and will find themselves in places that reflect their own guilt.

Ultimately, our life after death is influenced by the life we lead here and now.

If we live a life of love and responsibility, this will continue into the afterlife.

If we live a life far from our soul, from our true nature, then this too will be mirrored in what awaits us beyond.

We choose what happens to our soul in the afterlife. We choose whether we are ready to return to God.
